This was our last stop of a long day’s minigolf
journey through Texas that had already seen us play several other courses that
day. It was a great way to finish up
given the lively and cool ambiance of the place and the fun course design. This
was the first outdoor “pub” minigolf we have played after playing indoor venues
like Puttshack or Swingers, or other courses that had beer options, and we
didn’t expect it to be as good as it was.
The holes are very creative with a variety of different themes and obstacles.
Some of them obstacles almost had a “Rube Goldberg” feel to them and as we went
through the course we were pleased in that they all seemed to do what they were
supposed to and benefit you if they took the chance to go through them. One of
the more creative holes was towards the end where your opponents could control
some “foosball” plays to try to block your putt from reaching the goal. It’s a good test of who might like you during
the round – or who needs to prevent you from catching up!
Overall it was great creativity, good game play
and all at a reasonable price for what we have seen with these types of
courses. Add in the ability to have a
drink or two and some food trucks along the way and you have a great place to
spent a couple of hours. We would
definitely go again if in the area.
