Captain Kidd’s Challenge

Pirate’s Island Adventure Golf is
chain of miniature golf courses very similar to Pirate’s Cove. Then location in Hilton Head, SC has two
18-hole courses. We played the more
difficult Captain Kidd’s Challenge. We found it to be a very enjoyable
experience. The course was full of
pirate-type things to look at and there was good music playing throughout the
course. The holes were in good shape and
well maintained. The landscaping is very
well done. It’s well shaded, and that’s
a big positive in an area that can be quite hot in the summer. The course is also laid out very well. At the time we played it was quite crowded,
but that was hardly noticed because there was ample space between the holes and
the change in grade between the holes kept groups of players well
separated. There was only one very minor
complaint. The course had metal cups,
and we have several balls go around the rim rather than into the cup. This can be a frustrating experience.
Though this course is slightly
more expensive than the average mini golf, it’s well worth playing. It’s a great way to get out of the sun at the
beach and still have some family fun.
Extra rounds are very reasonably priced at $5.00. If you vacationing on Hilton Head, or even if
you live there, we highly recommend this miniature golf.
