Pirate Island Golf is exactly the kind of course
one would expect to see at a seaside tourist town. We played one of their three locations after
practicing for a tourney at another course.
On a summer evening there were dozens of players on the course, however,
the spacious layout allowed for easy distancing. Water flows throughout the course and is
integrated well into the design of the holes.
The course is generally in good condition. There are multiple levels in the course,
including a bridge between holes, which makes navigating through the course a
fun adventure.
We only have some minor criticisms. There were some drainage issues on the top of
the hill, and some of the hole design choices were a little confusing (like the
ramp on the hole inside the cave).
However, this course is enjoyable nonetheless. Kids will like playing a hole on a pirate
ship, and there’s an opportunity to win a free round on a “plink-o” game at the
end. We recommend this course to anyone
vacationing on the shore.
