We played the Granite Trouble Course, which is known as the
harder of the two courses. We did not play the Lighthouse course, so there is
no comparison if it is the hardest. That said, the
Granite course is overly difficult in relation to the par for the course. There
are ample opportunities for a hole in one, the more
you attempt the risky shots the more you are rewarded on this course. The
course uses metal cups for the majority of the course but most do not have the
adverse side effect of the mound around the pin. On the Granite course they mix
up the designs and styles of each hold giving each a specific name corresponding
to the obstacles on the hole. One of the more fun holes was where the cup was
in the center of a smooth granite slab, which makes it very difficult to judge
the speed of your put as there is hardly any friction. The grounds are well
kept as there are other activities besides the two mini golf courses. The price
is reasonable for
the course and the 1/2 price for the second round would make a good day
out of it. Mel's also has an all day pass for all of
their events for $45.
