Let me first admit that I am
completely biased when it comes to this review.
Let me set the scene: For my 30th
birthday my parents threw me a birthday party.
My mother came up with the brilliant idea of creating a 9 hole minigolf course in her
yard. This was a completely original
course.
The holes were lined with rope that
was nailed into the ground. The
obstacles were lawn ornaments that my parents already had throughout the
yard. My father mowed the lawn a bit shorter
within the bounds of the holes.
The course was quite difficult due
to the unevenness of the lawn. The
putters were plastic children’s putters, and the golf balls were plastic (to
avoid broken windows due to enthusiastic swings). Needless to say, it was rather hard to
execute a perfect swing.
This course was very difficult, but
also incredibly fun. Considering my
parents are very much amateurs when it comes to minigolf,
I was very impressed with their attention to detail and their effort. There were even specially printed scorecards
and miniature trophies!
