This course is very similar to a variety of other “adventure-style” courses throughout New England.  It has a couple unique takes on holes, but overall there is not much out of the ordinary.  The course is generally well-maintained, but there were lots of loose bricks on the holes.  There were also several places where the bushes crept into the tee area and made lining up your first shot very difficult.  The holes were generally easy with multiple chances to get aces throughout the course.  We were there at the beginning in May and the water wasn’t running yet, but they did seem to have a very good water system that ensured every water hazard kept circulating.  The course also had interesting putters in that they were very heavily weighted in the ends, which made them hard to control at times. While the location was nice and the park itself beautiful, there was very little to distinguish this course from many others in the area.  In all, we would recommend playing the course, as it was a nice experience, just not something you have to run out and play.

This course is very similar in feel and design to the nearby Western Massachusetts Family Golf Center course in Hadley, already reviewed elsewhere on the site.  The obstacles on the course are mostly large rocks embedded in the greens, and there is zero kitsch factor- no windmills, clown mouths, etc.  It is a very pleasant and well-maintained course, with a stream running through it with little waterfalls, and very nice landscaping with large plants and colorful flowers.  It is also part of a larger park, which has paddle boats, bumper boats and a miniature train ride for additional fees.  There is also an additional parking fee, but no cost to walk into the park.  There is also a free, very small zoo on the park grounds, at which one can feed some of the animals from coin operated food dispensers
