This is a middle of the road course that was much more expensive than it should have been.  You don’t really get that much for the price they are charging.  The course is in good shape overall, and the obstacles are in good condition, but there is nothing that sets it apart from any other course.  It has a few interesting holes, but most of the stuff is run of the mill and follows a sort of nautical theme.  We were a bit miffed the first time we tried to play the course though.  We called the course to ensure they would be open because it was early spring and a bit chilly and overcast.  They replied that they would be open until 10 p.m. as long as the weather permits.  However, when we arrived at the course at 7:30 p.m. it was closed (and looked like it had been for some time, even though it only took us 45 minutes to drive there) although the weather hadn’t changed at all.  Just leaves us wondering what “weather permitting” really means.  In the end, we’re not saying that you should stay away from this course.  It’s one of a handful in the area and it won’t leave you disappointed except for the price.

I would like to disagree with your review.  I visited Castle Creek today, and was very impressed with the entire park. We are a family of four and travel to many family spots, and am so happy to have finally found a great family place to be on the North Shore.  The staff was courteous, the place was extremely clean, the go cart attendants were safe, kind and insure each visitor was safe and had fun.  The price was fantastic my family enjoyed golf, ice cream, go carts for a very low price.  I was so impressed that I have scheduled to have my children’s birthday party at Castle Creek this September, and much to my delight got a much better price then I have received from other fun spots for children and their families.  I would also like to state, that my family is avid miniature golf people and have visited many courses, and Castle Creek is definitely the top one, and will be tough to beat. The course is AWESOME!

Castle Creek deserves a far better rating then what you gave them.  Perhaps you should revisit, because I am disappointed with your review, and am glad I went to visit regardless of what your review was.  It was unfair, and way off.  Two thumbs up for Castle Creek!  We had a blast!

I do not understand the review this organization did on this course since in 2003 they were voted best minigolf on the north shore. They now take credit cards, have added go carts and re vamped some of the dull holes and made a good place even better. They also have a daily special, this place is a hidden jewel!!!

Given the land values around the North Shore of Massachusetts, and lack of family fun activities outdoors, it is remarkable that the owners decided to build a mini golf and home made ice cream business. The price is justified. Two other courses in Peabody have closed due to land taxes etc.  Therefore-to complain about this course given the natural beauty that surrounds, great locally made ice cream sold, picnic benches and tall willow trees and great landscaping--is unwarranted given

the absolute madness of over-development all over the North Shore.  The course is perfect. It won't frustrate players at any age--unless you are a purist and want a competitive course. If you do--well—don’t go here. This is pure fun and family oriented.

Drawback:  no credit cards-cash only. No ATM--but plenty nearby.

Easy to find and worth the drive from Boston or any other locale.  Route 1A north from Boston past Suffolk Downs Race Track-then to Rt 107-then Off Route 107 between Salem and Lynn Massachusetts.  The Swampscott Road is at junction of 107 turn at new Irving gas station complex.
