I visited the Boondocks Fun Center to play the two 18-hole Miniature Golf courses back in March 2009. The two courses (the Caverns Mill and Hillbilly Hallow) are located in the town of Northglenn, Colorado - 12 miles north of Denver (The courses sit right next to Interstate-25). The course was in very good condition and had some very interesting and difficult holes. With a bit of practice there would be a fair few hole-in-one opportunities. As it was $12 Tuesday I had unlimited Miniature Golf and managed to fit in three round on the very busy courses. If I had more time I would have definitely played some more to try and improve on my scores (below):
Game 1 - Hillbilly Hallow Course - 50(+14)
Game 2 - Caverns Mill Course - 48(+12)
Game 3 - Hillbilly Hallow Course - 44(+8)
Disappointingly in the 54-holes I played, I only hit three holes-in-one.
However, my excuse is that I wasn't used to playing minigolf
at high altitude (Denver is of course 'The Mile High
City')! As well as fairly standard
adventure golf obstacles such as ramps, tunnels and water hazards, the obstacle
on the final hole on one of the courses features a Fire Breathing Lizard!
