With some mixed visitor
reviews over the years and given its location in a high traffic area of a
casino town, we didn’t have high expectations for this course. However, we ended up pleasantly surprised
with the condition the course was in and how it played for us. In fact, Pat was
able to shoot 35 with a house club and ball in this first go around with the
course and Mandy was only just over par at 41. The back nine seemed to playa little harder than the front nine but there were aces
to be had on both sides of the turn.
The layout of the course
worked well with plenty of space between the holes. It wasn’t crowded when we were there but
there were some groups and it never felt like we were on top of anyone outside
of the one time we caught up with a group just because we were faster. The only
drawback of the course was there was a lot of birds around, mostly playing the
water features, but that meant lots of feathers (and other stuff) in some
section of the course. Never seemed to
interfere with play but see how it could be pain to keep clean sometimes.
The other thing to be mindful
of is that this course is great if you are already in Atlantic City but if you
are coming in to play it just be mindful of parking. Several of the lots are expensive but you can
find some cheap on-street parking if you are just hopping in for a little
bit. Probably not a likely scenario
unless you are folks like us but worth mentioning!
If we were in AC we would
definitely play this course again but likely wouldn’t go out of our way to
seeing by there. The North Beach course up the road a little bit would be our
more likely candidate for replay if in the area.

We visited this course on a Sunday afternoon and we
found each hole pretty enjoyable. We were very upset about the condition of the
course. Many of the bricks in the borders were coming undone and if you kicked
one it would fall, only one fountain was working and the rest were just filled
with disgusting stagnant water. We were very disappointed in the conditions, it
does not seem like this course has been keeping up with the maintenance.

This course gets high marks for atmosphere due to its
location and condition. The location is
right on the Boardwalk in front of the
The course is fairly straight forward with no
carnival type obstacles. The course
difficulty is enhanced on certain holes with hole location behind natural
obstacles (rocks, pilings, etc.), length, and position of "sand" and
"rough". The course is made
more difficult by having thick steel rims on the cups, which makes accuracy and
speed of the putt critical to holing out.
There were some interesting holes with multiple
paths, and some banking on longer, curved holes. Some uphill putts and some dips also made
play interesting.
