The Friends of the Office of State Archaeology held an archaeology fair on October 19, 2013 in Connecticut and The Putting Penguin was asked to set up a free course outside of the building. We gladly obliged and set up three holes in the grass. We re-used some of the materials from Mandy’s 30th Birthday Minigolf and also used a variety of archaeological tools (screens, trowels, buckets, etc) as obstacles. While not heavily trafficked everyone who played had a great time and many played the three holes we had multiple times. With the long grass it was difficult to make many putts but there were a couple of decent scores on the day. We hope to do it again sometime!
